Celebrities, including Kendall Jenner, Elle Fanning and Lucy Hale, are wearing their blunt-cut, shoulder-length lob hairstyle either sleek and straight, or wavy and textured.

Some stars, such as Olivia Palermo, Margot Robbie and Iggy Azalea are even growing it out for a “long lob” look.

How to get a lob haircut

To get the look yourself, ask your Keratin Complex stylist for a longer version of a bob, in which the hair is typically cut straight around the head at about jaw level. Make sure the stylist knows that you want very little layering. If you want to nail the current look, be sure to have it parted in the middle during the cutting process (and wear a center part after that).

Feel free to add some accent highlights, using our It’s a Blonde Thing keratin-enhanced lightener, to make your new style really stand out.

For a sleekly stylish lob, your stylist may also recommend getting a Keratin Complex smoothing treatment such as our Express Blow Out™, which will help keep frizz and flyaways in check and make your middle-part lob easier to maintain!

Once you’ve gotten a lob hairstyle, it will be easy to wear it either straight, using Keratin Complex Infusion Keratin Replenisher and Thermo-Shine Thermal Protectant Mist with a flat iron; or curly/wavy using our Sweet Definition Texturizing Sugar Mist and a curling iron (such as our Transformer Interchangeable Styling Rod.)
