Hair trend: Casual braids

“Give your locks a SS15 update in minutes by adding tousled mini plaits to the bottom section of your hair and securing with clear elastics,” says the blog. Recent designers who sent their models down the runway with this look included Vera Wang and Giorgio Armani.

Styling tip: For an evening look, section off the hair into three or four parts from the front of your head and loosely plait the back into an undone up-do.

Hair trend: Ponytails

According to Glamour, the pony is here to stay, with the “low” ponytail the latest incarnation as seen on runways for Giambattista Valli and Gucci. “Wear yours tied loosely at the nape of your neck with a color-matched elastic or slick and glossy for an evening look,” advises the blog.

A variation, such as at the Stella McCartney show, is to add crimped sections throughout for added texture—a great look for festive occasions, the blog points out.
