'I am thankful that the Christmas season reminds me to give more. We receive all year long and give a little, but it always seems to remind me to give a little more.'
— Evan Mills
Happy holidays from our KeraFamily to yours! Since this is the time of year when it’s important to take a moment to acknowledge everything we have to be grateful for in our lives, while also looking ahead to the New Year, we decided to do just that.
We’ve turned this blog over to our Keratin Complex® pros—both in the field and in the corporate offices—for individual responses to these two statements:
- What I’m most thankful for this holiday season.
- What I look most forward to for the New Year.
KC pros share their hopes and dreams
Without further ado, here are their responses:
“I am most thankful and blessed this holiday season for the life I have been given.
“This New Year, I am most looking forward to seeing what my golden year is going to bring.”
— Molly Woodruff, Keratin Complex Senior National Education Manager, Boca Raton, FL
“I am thankful for a strong, supportive home family and salon family! Without both at my side—as a salon owner, stylist, mother, and wife—I would not be who and what I am today. This framework is the foundation on which we all gain strength from each other. We give and draw equally, rebuilding the weaknesses and strengthening our bonds with one another! (Hah! We sound like a Vitalshot!)
“What I look forward to most would be, safety and respect to our law enforcement! My husband and my son are out there, along with many other husbands, wives, daughters and sons, putting their lives on the line and leaving their families behind to serve and protect every day and night—unconditionally.”
— Michele McCord, Studio M, Greenville, SC
“I am thankful that the Christmas season reminds me to give more. We receive all year long and give a little, but it always seems to remind me to give a little more. My clients, friends and family are my inspiration, and I am so thankful for all of the support they provide.
“I look forward to the coming year that will bring several new beginnings. I am overly ecstatic about becoming closer to my KeraFamily most of all. Where my passion will lead me this year is a mystery, but I can't wait to live the story.”
— Evan Mills, Pure Salon, Montgomery, AL
“This holiday season I’m so thankful for my health, my friends’ and family’s health, and especially my poodle, Winifred’s health. (He’s had some health issues.)
“I’m also grateful for the professional success I've had over the last year with Keratin Complex. I've worked Fashion Week in both New York and L.A., met a million ridiculously talented people and produced work I never knew I was capable of. I’m especially thankful for Deb Gavin and Woody Michleb for taking my hands and teaching me what I can do with them.
“I’m looking forward to an amazing 2016, 2017, 2018 and so on with a company that appreciates all of us and nurtures—and pushes—us to be our best.
“And, purely selfishly, I'm thankful to Keratin Complex for creating all of these treatments, techniques and products that have allowed me to grow my hair long. With a combination of all we have to offer, my hair has grown beautifully for exactly one year, without a trim, and not even a split end!”
— Toney Wilson, Laru Ni Hati Hair Salon & Color Lab, Albuquerque, NM
'I’m so thankful this holiday season to have a career that I love and for being able to share my passion with so many.'
— Daniel Carter

“I am most thankful this holiday season for all the loves in my life, including my wife, my children, the industry I work in, and my Keratin Complex family!

— Paul Dobbert, Tangles Hair Lounge, Riverside, CA

“I look forward to more and continued health and prosperity in the upcoming year for myself and for all of my wonderful friends, family and co-workers; and that we all learn to love one another around the world in spite of our differences, and continue to celebrate our beautifully diverse world.”
